This series 2 engine has a larger rear crankshaft bearing than the series 1. The front prop washer is tapered and there is no spinner cover. The backplate is black plastic with "Taipan Australia" inside. The gold anodized head is slightly more reddish in color and plain Phillips bolts are used in the back plate and head. This engine is described on page 10 of Jim Dunkin's reference book of .15ci/ 2.5cc engines, Edition II.
