The case on this engine has a black anodized head instead of a natural one. The throttle is secured to the venturi with screws through the spray bar holes. The throttle is linked with a rotating exhaust restrictor. There are lightning bolts on the bypass with a vertical "Taipan" between them. A later version of this engine only had a stud and a prop nut. This engine is described on page 9 of Jim Dunkin's reference book of model airplane engines, Edition II
