The case on this engine has a matte finish and it has a spinner nut. The glow-head ring is anodized brown. Markings are 2.5 on the left bypass and CSG on the right bypass. The top four cylinder fins are the same diameter as the head and the lower fins on the case are smaller and extend out onto the exhaust stack. This is the first production model and the serial number "22" is on the top of the left lug. One of the Chinese team members used this engine at the 1982 CLWC in Sweden to win second place. This engine is featured on page 30 of James Dunkin's International Reference Book of .15ci/2.5cc Model Airplane Engines, Edition II.
