ULN2003 is a monolithic high voltage and high current Darlington transistor array integrated circuit. It is composed of seven pairs of NPN Darlington tubes. Its high voltage output characteristics and cathode clamping diodes can convert inductive loads. The collector current of a single Darlington pair is 500 mA. Darlington tubes can withstand more current in parallel. This circuit is mainly applied to relay driver, word hammer driver, light driver, display driver (LED gas discharge), line driver and logic buffer. Each pair of Darlington tubes of ULN2003 has a 2.7K Ω series resistor, which can be directly connected with TTL or 5V CMOS devices.
