Jow Ga was created at the turn of the century by the noted martial artist, Jow Lung, as a synthesis of the arts of Hung Ga, Choy Ga (a precursor to Choy Lei Fut) and Bak Si Lum. The art was eventually passed on to the late Dean Chin who brought Jow Ga to this country in 1965.
