Here is yet another recording of the seminal Howells Concerto for Strings, and it's even stronger than the first-class Vernon Handley on Harmonia Mundi, reviewed a few months back by this writer. All in all, a splendid release, not to be missed by any devotee of the twentieth-century English pastoral school.
